School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Whole School Events
Whole School Musical
This popular legacy involves all students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Classes take on roles and perform on stage with our Year 6 students taking on the lead roles in a performance that will have you singing in your seat and laughing in the aisles.
NAIDOC Week
Our whole school and community come together to celebrate this important National event. Activities include our Welcoming Smoking Ceremony, emu egg blowing, Yulunga Traditional Games, dance workshops, art workshops and immersive cultural experiences for all students.
Year 6 Mini Fete
A fundraiser organised by our Year 6 students to go towards their Year 6 Farewell and their gift to the school.
Fancy Hat Parade
A popular way to end Term 1, the Fancy Hat Parade celebrates our fanciest hats and brings our community together.
Book Character Parade
To celebrate Book Week the whole school dresses up as their favourite book character and parades proudly across the school.
End of Year Picnic Day
We end our school year with a big celebration involving wet inflatables and a movie afternoon.
Rainbow Run
An annual event that bring together our Parents and Citizens Association and our students to have fun and fundraise for our school.
Sporting Events Highlights
Knockout Competition
Out students participate in a range of Knockout Competitions including Soccer, Netball and Hockey.
Athletics Carnival
A day for students 8 years and older to compete for their House Teams in the full range of track and field events.
K-2 Fun Day
A day for our younger students to have fun and develop their sporting skills through classic events such as sack races, keepy-uppy, running races, team games, egg and spoon race and the ever popular Teachers versus Students Tug o' War.
Swimming Carnival
All students over 8 years have the opprotunity to showcase their swimming prowess through a range of competitive aquatic races and fun events.
Zone Athletics Carnival
Our top atheltes come together to compete at the Zone level in the full range of track and field events.
First Nations Events

Reconciliation Week
Here we see Blak Douglas sharing stories of culture with students. Blak Douglas created the carved poles in our Yarning Circle and has created several pieces of art for our school.
First Nations Primary Dance Workshop
Students from all over Sydney came together to develop their deadly dance skills in this engaging workshop.
Stage and Class Events
Kindergarten Buddy Program
Our enthusiastic Year 6 students buddy up with new Kindergarten students to help them settle into school and feel safe and welcome in our community.
Excursions
Excursions to important locations around Sydney that support classroom learning. Here we see Stage 1 students learning about local history at Marrickville Library.
