Volunteering at school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your child’s education as well as get to know the staff and other parents and carers.

Research shows that children benefit when their parents or carers are actively involved in their education and school life.

You can help by:

  • listening to children read in the classroom
  • volunteering on sports days
  • helping supervise excursions
  • getting involved in fundraising activities
  • joining school committees.

Volunteering at school

Would you like to support in classrooms or on excursions?

Our teachers, especially in Years Kindy to Year 2, welcome parents and carers who can assist with sorting home reading, pencil sharpening, hanging art work and those little things that take time but make our rooms happier places to be.

Or perhaps you can assist support teachers in getting students to and from excursions or sporting events?

If so, your child's teacher would love to hear from you. Leave them a note, or email the school!

Close family members volunteering will be required to complete this form and return to the office, with a photo ID - Form for Parent Volunteers
